On May 11, 2026, LeVar” Vartist” Lawrence transitioned from this earthly Plaine. A weaver of words and an artisan of storytelling, Var graciously offered P&P his time and talent. For this we are forever grateful and this project is all the more powerful having received the enduring gift of his prolific voice.
During his initial on-boarding meeting, Var shared that he had never penned a piece from the perspective of another person’s story prior to P&P. And yet, he skillfully and sincerely managed to embody the very essence of empathy while co-crafting a remarkable piece of poetic artistry.
May his spirit find solace and solidarity amongst other disabled kin who have transitioned. May he be welcomed into an afterlife with jubilant mornings, uproarious afternoons and wonderous nights. May he explore infinite portals that awaken, amaze and delight all the senses. May his words continue to reshape and reclaim the world we all deserve”.
